Sustainability In Business

The Sustainability Commission is dedicated to fostering a thriving, resilient Ypsilanti by advancing environmental, social, and economic sustainability. This means protecting natural resources, reducing pollution and waste, and slowing climate change while ensuring equitable access to resources, investing in community well-being, and advocating for social justice. They encourage innovation, efficient resource use, and workforce training to strengthen our local economy and quality of life. In partnership with the DDA, the Sustainability Commission has put together an informational slideshow for businesses to implement, you can view that slideshow here. Information on water management and protection can be found here.
